Amid the hustle and bustle of the world, I found a green oasis nestled in the quaint courtyard of my home. Here, there are no city streets bustling with traffic—only the vibrant vitality of lush greenery and serene tranquility.
In a corner of the courtyard lies a small rockery pond. Along its edges grow a few irises, their slender, sturdy leaves a deep shade of green, exuding resilience. Their roots soak in the water, as if reveling in its nourishment. Vines climb over the rockery, with ivy winding its way up the stones, its tender green leaves layering like a verdant cloak draped over the rocks. Occasionally, a breeze rustles through, causing the vines to sway gently, as if whispering tales of the courtyard.
At the center of the courtyard stands an antique stone table surrounded by stone stools. Their surfaces bear the marks of time, rough to the touch yet carrying a unique texture. In my leisure moments, I love sitting on these stools, quietly admiring the surrounding greenery. I watch as sunlight filters through the leaves, casting dappled shadows, and listen to the rustling of plants in the wind, as if nature is playing a soothing melody.
These plants not only adorn the courtyard with beauty but also bring solace to my soul. Whenever life’s troubles and pressures weigh on me, stepping into this green haven makes all fatigue and worries gradually fade away. I can quietly observe the veins of each leaf, feeling their vitality, or sit on the stone stool, close my eyes, take deep breaths, and let the fresh air fill my lungs, allowing my mind to unwind completely.
The greenery is like the soul of the courtyard. With their life and energy, they weave a peaceful and beautiful world—a world where I embrace nature intimately, savoring the wonder and joy of life.
